Alexander "Sandy" Olney

Love of land and place is something that is just part of who we are at LandVest. I was a beach and coastline kid, and began my career learning real estate as a carpenter and general contractor. I transitioned to commercial appraisal work on the West Coast and was fortunate to join LandVest’s RE Consulting Group in 2009 blending my love of land, valuation and architecture.

 My practice is helping families and their advisors make informed real estate decisions. I particularly love working with unique generational properties and conservation transactions as a broker or family advisor. Projects span a wide geography, but I am particularly drawn to the complexity and beauty of waterfront properties and farms on Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard, the South Shore and South Coast. 

 I am a Certified General Appraiser and Real Estate Salesperson in MA and RI. When conditions align, I can be found in the ocean or the mountains chasing snow and surf. I played Division 1 Soccer in college.

 I serve on the board of Wildlands Trust and am listed on the Appraisal Institute’s registry for Appraising Historic Preservation Easements.
