Karla grew up in Des Plaines and, after graduating from the University of Illinois Chicago, attained her Certified Public Accounting (CPA) accreditation in Illinois. Karla spent a decade serving in senior finance roles with global not-for-profit organizations focused on humanitarian and conservation programming, which included international assignments in Australia and South Sudan. Karla relocated back to Chicago with her husband and daughter to be close to family and start her entrepreneurial journey in real estate, an interest she's had since attending university.
Karla is energized by helping clients define their housing needs, make their search manageable and focused, and help them evaluate the financials for their transactions. She enjoys brainstorming home improvement ideas with clients and swapping recommendations on favorite travel destinations and camping/hiking activities. Karla is bilingual in Spanish and English.
