Joan m. Sobeck is a Broker Associate with more than 50 years of knowledge, expertise and experience in the real estate industry. Throughout her entire career, she has focused providing the highest levels of customer service when helping her clients sell or buy their dream home.

Joan was originally licensed in 1965, opened her own office in Hillsdale, NJ in 1968, and owned and operated the office for 30 years. She now brings her wealth of expertise to Christie's International Real Estate Northern New Jersey. Joan previously served as president of New Jersey Realtors® (NJR), as a director for the National Association of Realtors® (NAR) for more than 10 years, and over 30 years as a director of NJR and the RealSource Association of Realtors®, now the Greater Bergen Association of Realtors® (GBAR). She has chaired or served on more than 75 committees and task forces for her local Realtor® Association, NJR and NAR.

Joan is a co-author of Essentials of New Jersey Real Estate and Real Estate Brokerage: A Management Guide, both published by Dearborn Real Estate Education in Chicago. She also holds both the Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) and the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designations. She was a GRI instructor for a number years, teaching on advertising and fair housing.

In more than five decades, Joan has been recognized for her superior skills and performance with an array of industry recognitions, including Realtor® of the Year by GBAR and a number of sales recognitions and awards at her previous brokerage. She is also a member of the New Jersey Multiple Listing Service.

With her longevity and experience in the industry, and her affiliation with Christie's International Real Estate, she is now able to leverage the strength of the brand's unparalleled corporate marketing resources and superior customer service to help her clients navigate the intricacies of the real estate process.

Joan is a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Westwood where, for many years, she volunteered for the homeless walk-in dinner program and Angel Tree, a ministry that provides gifts and camping opportunities for children of prison inmates. She was also a one-time chair of the former Pascack Valley Hospital Foundation and served on the former hospital's board of directors. She is a 55-year resident of Westwood, NJ.
