The Fleninge Guest House's heritage stretches all the way back to the 1660s. It has been said that in the year 1810, when Jean Baptiste Bernadotte was appointed crown prince of Sweden, Fleninge Guest House served as the future king's lodging, lending the strategically placed property a royal sheen. Welcome to Fleninge! The guest house tradition has been alive and well here for centuries. The farmers in the area were given the task from time to time of raising these buildings which now have become landmarks of their own. By-laws were adopted stating that that there was a guest house to be available for lodging every 1.5 miles. With the help of local farmers, Fleninge guest house was built in 1660 by Lorens Rottenborg. Since then, Fleninge guest house has served as the natural gathering point for travelers, businesspeople, and local citizens to celebrate weddings, birthdays and other festivities. Now a new age is dawning.
