David Speirs

David Speirs is Director of Timberland Marketing, Northeast and Lake States based in Portland, Maine. David’s primary responsibilities include generating new business, marketing and servicing ongoing transaction projects, client/customer relations, and team management. He is generally responsible for business in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Upper-Midwestern operating areas.

David earned a BS in Forestry in 1999 from the University of Maine at Orono and an MBA from Northeastern University in 2012. He has 15+ years of experience in the forestry business including eight years of field experience managing forestland in Montana and Maine. Since joining LandVest in 2008 as a project manager with the timberland marketing group, he has been continuously involved in investment evaluation, marketing and brokerage.

David is a member of the Society of American Foresters and the Association of Consulting Foresters. He holds a Forester License in Maine and is licensed to practice real estate in Maine, Vermont, New York, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin.
