Kathy Besse is the Sales Manager | Managing Broker of The Litchfield Company - Lachicotte Office. Along with her wealth of sales, marketing, and business development expertise Kathy brings an energy, easy going style, and an unmistakable knowledge for the area to the team. Kathy has over 14 years of real estate experience and has overseen Marketing and Branding for all divisions of The Lachicotte Company: Commercial, Residential, and Vacation Rental, as well as serving as a Broker Associate specializing in Luxury Property Sales. She is also certified as a Christie's International Luxury Specialist and Lachicotte Luxury Specialist.

Kathy is responsible for support, training, and recruiting of sales agents and support staff, oversight of Lachicotte Branding and Marketing, and guiding strategic business development decisions.

A native of Indianapolis, IN, Kathy and her husband Dean moved to Pawleys Island 25 years ago where they have raised their two children, Garrett and Rowan. Kathy has a love for baking, arts, thrift shopping, refurbishing furniture, and spends most of her free time on the water. Always putting her heart and soul into whatever she does Kathy has a true love for real estate. Most people view selling real estate as what they do, not who they are. I love my career and decided from the very beginning that I would take who I am and make it the core of what I do.
