Tiburon

Tiburon and Belvedere are two of the most exclusive places to live in the San Francisco Bay Area. Located in southern Marin County, the incorporated town of Tiburon and the small city of Belvedere are both on the Tiburon Peninsula, which stretches into the San Francisco Bay. The area boasts some of the region’s most spectacular views of the Golden Gate Bridge, the San Francisco skyline, and the Bay itself. Tiburon/Belvedere is ranked eigth among a Forbes magazine list of the most expensive real estate markets in the US.

Tiburon was formerly the southern terminus of the Northwestern Pacific Railroad. Today, its waterfront location, sloping hills, and Mediterranean climate make it a prime destination for those seeking a home in the Bay Area. For a town of less than 10,000 residents, Tiburon offers a variety of activities that belie its small size—the Tiburon International Film Festival, wine tasting at Windsor Vineyards tasting room, shopping in the boutiques along Ark Row, and great restaurants on Tiburon's Main Street all provide opportunities to soak in the quiet luxury and culture of the area.

The Tiburon Historical Trail and the San Francisco Bay Trail are popular year-round destinations for hikers and cyclists. And for the nautically inclined, Tiburon's Corinthian Yacht Club is a mainstay that hosts frequent sailing events and activities. Ferries to San Francisco and Angel Island State Park leave from the dock at Tiburon.

Waterfront living is perfected in Belvedere, an enclave where large historic homes command unforgettable Bay views. Belvedere is comprised of two former islands that were joined to the Tiburon Peninsula, allowing for the creation of a private lagoon that is actively used by kayakers and beginning sailors. The San Francisco Yacht Club in Belvedere Cove is a community landmark and the oldest Yacht Club on the Pacific Coast of North America.

Both Belvedere and Tiburon are served by the Reed Union School District, whose three schools have all been named to the California Business for Education Excellence Honor Roll. In addition, Reed Elementary School received a distinguished Great Schools Rating of 10 out of 10.
